As part of our educational project Mobilizing Citizenship, Kunsthall Stavanger is happy to host a public talk by artist and organizer, Lee Heinemann.
Lee (b. 1993, Kansas City, USA) is an artist and organizer who makes programs and events with individuals and institutions. Lee is the initiator and lead facilitator of Get Your Life!—a collaborative, youth-centered video production company that partners practicing artists with middle school students at Baltimore, MD community center 901 Arts. Lee served as the Education Director of Baltimore nomadic museum The Contemporary, which produced Get Your Life! in 2016 and 2017. Get Your Life! is now in residence in the Baltimore Museum of Art’s Joseph Education Center with an exhibition, publication, and series of public programs ongoing through 2019. Lee speaks and moderates frequently including at the Baltimore School for the Arts, Open Engagement, and the Creative Time Summit. Lee is a 2015 graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art in Interdisciplinary Sculpture, and a 2014-2015 France-Merrick Fellow in Community Art.

Get Your Life! tar blant annet form som et videoproduksjonsselskap der ungdom fra Baltimore, MD community center 901 A, samarbeider med profesjonelle kunstnere. Lee var Education Director ved Baltimore nomadic museum The Contemporary, som stod bak produksjonen av Get Your Life! i 2016 and 2017.
