Bring your baby and join us for a guided baby tour of Tiril Hasselknippe’s exhibition Play. Our skilled educator will introduce you to the artist and the exhibition on view. You don't need to know anything about the exhibition in advance.
After the tour, we welcome you to sit down in our foyer for a chat and a free cup of coffee/tea.
At this special edition of our baby tour we will have a pop-up cafe where you can buy delicious cakes from Coco kanel and cinnamon buns from Molinå Bakery.
Hasselknippe, who is based in Stavanger, is considered one of Norway's leading contemporary artists. On Thursday February 9, she takes over Kunsthall Stavanger with a large-scale installation comprising light, sound and sculpture.
Duration: 45 minutes. For babies up to 1,5 years.
The tour will be primarily conducted in Norwegian.
Strollers can be brought into the foyer. Our staff will assist with carrying the stroller up the stairs to the main entrance. We have baby carriers if needed.

Tiril Hasselknippe (f. 1984) holds an education from Malmö Art Academy (2013), including an exchange at The Cooper Union in New York. Her solo exhibitions were amongst others held at Drei, Cologne (2021), Magenta Plains, New York (2020), Norwegian Sculptors Society (2020), Kunstnerforbundet (2019), and Kunstverein Braunschweig, Germany (2017). Participation to group exhibitions include the New Museum Triennale Songs for Sabotage, New York (2018), Röda Sten Konsthall Surfacing Earth, Gothenburg (2016), and Astrup Fearnley Museum NN-A NN-A NN-A – New Norwegian Abstraction (2015). Hasselknippe’s commissioned works for public spaces can be found at Klostergårdens IP Stadium, The Institute of Water Science at The University of Lund, the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo, and the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen.
