Kunsthall Stavanger welcomes you to the opening of our summer exhibition ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽ ~♡, the first survey exhibition in Scandinavia by artist Wong Ping. The opening event will take place at Kunsthall Stavanger Thursday, June 16 at 18:00pm.
Wong Ping is one of Hong Kong's most exciting emerging artists. He creates disturbing and crude narratives that challenge conventional concepts of human desire, obsession, shame, isolation, and repressed sexuality through animation, sculpture, and immersive installations. His videos take on a bright and childlike aesthetic, creating a light-hearted, humorous, and accessible approach to the deep psychological issues experienced by the protagonists in his films.
༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽ ♡ is on view June 16 – September 18, 2022.
