As part of the art and educational project, Mobilizing Citizenship, Kunsthall Stavanger is happy to welcome you to Run For Your Life, a performance with artist group WALK OF SHAME. Run For Your Life is a performance, a lecture, a trip to space and the deepest seas. Your stewardess LADY PLAXA introduces you to a set of survival skills that will make your life much easier – and more complete! WALK OF SHAME is looking forward to spending time with you.

For the second year in a row, Kunsthall Stavanger presents the project Mobilizing Citizenship, an art and educational initiative aimed at future adults age 12-16.
During four weekend workshops future adults will collaborate with internationally known artists and designers, in an introduction to artistic strategies and methods. One of the main goals of the project is that the participants will build a sense of ownership over own voice and identity, seeing themselves as autonomous agents with the possibility to partake in public discourse. The participants are given access to tools and methods with a focus on how they can use artistic strategies to speak up and out.
For the spring semester the main focus will be on movement and identity. We will look at question concerning how we move in different type of space and how we through and with our bodies can express different identities. During the semester the future adults will work with dance, future visions, costumes, performance and questions of identity. The project is free to attend.
For the spring semester we will be working with WALK OF SHAME (NO), Zinzi Minott (UK), Trojan Horse (FI) and Sidsel Christensen (NO/DK). All artists will be holding a public performance open to the general public.

WALK OF SHAME
WALK OF SHAME (WOS) is an artist collective based in Bergen, Norway. WOS explores the relation between performative and social spaces by means of visual landscapes and interactive meetings between performer and spectator. The collective was established in 2012 and has been working site-specifically since 2015, aiming to meet audiences outside the already established physical contexts of spectatorship. WOS’ visual expression combines elements such as clubbing culture, natural landscapes, trash culture and consumerism.
